MBACP BA(Hons) Counselling
Many of us experience times when life feels like such an uphill battle, perhaps you are experiencing a lack of self-confidence or self-esteem. Maybe you are experiencing anxiety, abuse, depression or a major life event such as divorce or bereavement. Stress from work or school can build and affect our mental health in different ways. Often there may be a feeling that something is not quite right and you can't put your finger on what it is. We all have different experiences, issues and levels of support around us, so together we can find some understanding and solutions to the issues that may affect your life.
I offer a safe, confidential space where together we can explore the feelings and issues you may be experiencing. I believe that you are the best person to understand how your issues affect you and to what extent. I will not judge you, but will listen with empathy and respect and together we can explore solutions to the issues that feel very real to you.
I believe our mental health and wellbeing is as important as our physical health and would consider it a privilege to support you in your journey. I offer a free 30-minute initial meeting to allow us to decide if we can work together. It is great you have taken that first step in thinking about therapy, I'm here when you feel ready to take that next step.
I am a person-centred counsellor practicing for the last two years, I believe the client is the expert on their feelings and experiences and my role is to create a safe, confidential relationship in order to support you in exploring your own issues and feelings. I previously worked as a nurse in the NHS for many years and learned through experience that people often need time and a non-judgmental, empathic relationship to explore the issues that may feel very overwhelming at times. I took a bold step and became a student again, completing a degree in counselling which I loved. I am here ready to support you when you feel the time is right to take the next step.
"It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried."
